GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP

This position carries with it a stipend of up to $7000 per year paid in 10 monthly increments. In addition, up to 6 hours of resident or non-resident tuition fees per semester are waived. Students will be responsible for assisting the Department faculty in their research, classroom management responsibilities (perhaps leading small group discussions, facilitating the preparation of classes, etc.), and other assorted duties. The actual work schedule will be coordinated in conjunction with the Department's needs and the student's schedule. Graduate students who are interested in applying for this position should complete the Political Science Department Graduate Assistantship Application and submit it along with the following:

1) Two letters of recommendation
2) Resume
3) Official academic transcripts 
    (from current & former institutions)
4) Enrollment sheet - courses and fees
Graduate Assistanship awards are now made on a semester basis. Please refer to the following chart for a summary of time commitments, stipends, and tuition waivers:
