The department offers majors or minors in French, German and Spanish, as well as courses in Arabic, Chinese, Latin, Philosophical Greek, and Sanskrit. The Spanish and German clubs offer social and cultural activities year round. Our courses cover basic language skills, literature, cultural knowledge, intellectual history, teaching techniques, and take you out of the country in more ways than one.
