The minimum number of credits for graduation is 124 semester hours. Of these 124 credit hours, 42-44 are satisfied by the University Core courses (see enrollment information), 42-50 are from the major, and the rest are satisfied by electives (the current GPA-in-the-major requirement is 2.5).
Required courses in the major: Phil 1113 Introduction to Philosophy History of Philosophy (3 courses selected from the following...): 9 hours Phil 2143 American Philosophic Thought Value Theory (2 courses from...): 6 hours Phil 1123 Contemporary Moral Problems Metaphysics and Epistemology (take 1 course from each group...): 6 hours
Electives (take 5 courses...):
15 hours All students completing a B.A. in Philosophy shall complete the first two semesters of a second language. Students may alternatively fulfill the language requirement by proof of academic work in the second language (CLEP test through LANG 1224), four years of high school language courses, or transfer work from another institution.
