SUBJECTS

        All international undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to enter this contest by writing an essay on one of the following topics:
         1.  Images of America in my hometown
         2.  What my country needs from America
 
SUBMISSION

        Length: 5-8 typed, double-spaced pages
(Use a separate cover sheet: name, nationality, major, yrs at UCO, phone#)
        Deadline: March 8, 1999
(Submit three copies of your essay to Dr. Xiao-bing Li, LA 202i, ext. 5483)

AWARD PRESENTATION

Awards will be presented by Dr. Walter Jung at the Luncheon of 1999 UCO Asia - Pacific Symposium at University Center on March 24, 1999.  The four winner will read their essays at an afternoon session at University Center on the same day.
