GERMANY 07
Dr. Michael Springer
October 25, 2007
On October 25, Dr. Michael Springer gave an animated
lecture about his research trip to Germany last summer. Students learned a
great deal about the Protestant Reformation as well as conducting research
in Germany's archives and libraries. On a lighter note, they also learned
how issues of politics and sex intersected with religion in the life of
Philip of Hesse, one of Martin Luther's most powerful supporters in the Holy
Roman Empire. Overall it was a delightful presentation.
