Creative Studies Writers’ Institute (CSWI)

CSWI is a student organization dedicated to providing social, educational, and cultural opportunities for creative writers from both the UCO and the Edmond and Oklahoma City communities.

CSWI sponsors workshops with published authors and literary agents, organizes field trips to plays and other cultural events, hosts readings, and sponsors a monthly “open-mic” night at which writers from throughout the region present their work.

CSWI also distributes an online newsletter detailing events of interest to writers in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

You don’t need to be a graduate or undergraduate major in Creative Studies or even a UCO student to participate in CSWI’s activities. For almost twenty years, CSWI has been a meeting place for members of the UCO community and writers from throughout Central Oklahoma. We invite you to join us and look forward to meeting you.
