Kris Chavis
Kris Chavis received her BA in English, with a minor in Music Theatre at
the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996. After writing her masters thesis
on Louisa May Alcott, she received her MA in the Spring of 1999 from UCO.
Ms. Chavis has taught English Composition at UCO for three and a
half years. She spent three years as a Teaching Assistant, and was involved
in many academic clubs such as the English Graduate Organization and the
English Society. Kris is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International
English Honor Society.
In 1996, Kris was accepted into the American
Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and hopes to pursue her love of
the theatre in future years. She would also like to pursue her Ph.D. degree
in American or World Literature.
